Adoption of draft agenda Adopted without changes. 2. Chair's announcements Gender Mainstreaming network The last meeting of the Gender Mainstreaming network took place in June. Virginija Langbakk, Director of the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss gender equality goals in the programmes of the EP political parties and possibilities to increase the visibility of EIGE in the EP. European Alliance for Gender Equality in Research and Innovation The organisers of the European Gender Summit (a non-for-profit alliance bringing together European stakeholders from policy, industry, academia and civil society to facilitate an open and inclusive dialogue on the role of gender and diversity in research and innovation) recently contacted STOA regarding the creation of a 'European Alliance for Gender Equality in Research and Innovation'. The STOA Bureau examined the request in October and concluded that if the FEMM Committee is interested, it should have the lead in this matter. STOA as well as the ITRE committee could be associated. FEMM's position will be decided at the next meeting of the Coordinators, on 16 December. 3. Points for decision 3.1. Appointment of Rapporteurs Council decision authorising Member States to ratify, in the interests of the European Union, the Convention concerning decent work for domestic workers, 2011, of the International Labour Organisation (Convention no 189) Decision taken: no action needed, the document is for information only. The role of property rights, property ownership and wealth creation in eradicating poverty and fostering sustainable development in developing countries (DEVE) - opinion FEMM (Rapp. Silvia Costa), adopted on 15 July 2011. The FEMM Committee has adopted on 15 July 2011 an opinion to the DEVE owninitiative report on the above-mentioned title (Rapporteur Silvia Costa, S-D). DEVE Committee has withdrawn on 24 February 2012 its initial request for authorisation of an INI-report in order to grant priority to another report. On 17 December 2012 DEVE 1 PolDep provided: ES from 2009; BE from 2010 as well as HU which will be updated this year; PL and DK from 2011 as well as Croatia which will be updated this year; Cyprus and Ireland from 2012; and Portugal, Lithuania and Greece from 2013. Further GPPs could be prepared on Czech Republic, France, Germany, Slovenia, and Sweden which will not hold the Presidency before 2020. PV\1013536.doc 7/12 PE526.117v01-00

committee has asked for the "reactivation" of its request, while maintaining both title and scope of the original report. FEMM Coordinators on 21 January 2013 reconfirmed FEMM opinion adopted on 15 July 2011 for the abovementioned DEVE report. Furthermore, Coordinators decided to draw up GMA if considered necessary. Silvia Costa, rapporteur for the opinion, after examination of the DEVE draft report, informed FEMM Secretariat that the opinion adopted in FEMM on 15 July 2011 and resubmitted for the attention of DEVE Committee is valid and sufficient, and no additional GMAs are needed. The report will be voted in DEVE on 18 December 2013. 5.2. State of the play of the organisation of the IWD2014 The meeting will take place the 5th March 2015, from 15.00 to 18.30 in room JAN 2Q2 (EPP-meeting room).
